Abstract
With advances in technology, thermometers have been created to measure body temperature effectively. The output makes it easy to know a person's body temperature. However, blind people need a thermometer that can provide body temperature information quickly and independently through voice without having to wait for someone to tell them. When the temperature measurement process takes place, there is a change in temperature that can be detected by the temperature sensor. The use of a microcontroller is based on the ease of implementation and data processing because it is relatively easy and the microcontroller has functions that can be applied to the realization of body temperature measuring devices. This tool will display the body temperature value with sound output. The microcontroller used for this tool is an ultrasonic sensor HCSR-04, a temperature sensor mlx90614, LCD 20X4, Dfplayer mp3, and a buzzer. The mechanism in this tool is that if a blind user detects their temperature, the output will make a sound so that it can be heard directly by the blind user. From the results of the tests carried out on the temperature detection sample, it was found that the accuracy of the temperature reading by the mlx90614 sensor was 0,017 % using a noncontact thermometer as a reference for measurement.
