Abstract

PT. Meganta Batu Sampurna, is one of the mining companies located in Batujajar Village, Cigudeg District, Bogor Regency, West Java Province. PT. Meganta Batu Sampurna conducts andesite rock mining activities as the main excavation material produced, where the company aims to meet the market needs of andesite rocks and support national development. In the process of processing andesite ash into manufactured sand, PT. Meganta Batu Sampurna uses sand plant. The production target of this sand plant produces 1,436 m3 stone ash, 1,200 m3 manufactured sand, and 236 m3 sludge per day. PT. Meganta Batu Sampurna handles the sludge using sludge pump. Sludge pump is used to move slurry from the sand plant unit to the sludge settling pond. The location of the sludge settling pond is not far from the residential area of the local residents and there are complaints about the turbidity of the water flowing into the local community which is usually used for bathing and washing as well as serving as lavatory, so it is necessary to analyze the quality of water surface including TSS and TDS parameters in the sludge settling pond. Based on the problem about turbidity water the author conducted an analysis to compare the quality of water surface including TSS and TDS parameters against quality standards in accordance with the government regulations No. 22 year 2021 regarding the implementation of environmental protection and management.
