Abstract
The research aims to modify the hydroponic design of the floating raft system using DFT pipes so as to produce optimal plant production and easier maintenance. This research was carried out from January 2021 to May 2021 at the Plant House of the Agricultural Engineering Study Program, Department of Agricultural Technology, Faculty of Agriculture, Sriwijaya University, Indralaya, South Sumatra. The research method used was design to modify floating raft hydroponics using DFT pipes and observation methods. The results showed that the plant with the highest average stem was found at L5 which was 3.5 cm and the highest L5 point was found at T3 which was 3.8 cm. The average number of leaves was mostly found at L2 and L4 which was 11 strands and the highest point L2 was found at T2, T3 and T4 which was 11 strands while the most L4 points were found at T1, T2, T3 and T4 which was 11 strands. The longest average root was found at L1 which was 47.6 cm and the point L1 with the longest root was T3 which was 85 cm. Fresh weight with the highest average was found at L2, which was 64.4 g.
