Abstract
The aims of this study are to determine the effect of regional growth on disparity of economic development between regencies/cities in South Sumatera province also to know the levels of regional growth and the levels of disparity between regencies/cities in South Sumatera province. This study used secondary data from BPS (indonesia's bureau statistic)of South Sumatera province. This research used wiliamson index and Klassen typology and also regression used panel data with fixed effect method. The result showed that variable of income per capita, high growth and high income and also high income but low growth are significant on disparity with the probability values are 0,0472,0.0001 and 0.0003 with alpha (5 percent) while variable high growth but low income is not significant with the probability value is 0,7055.
