Abstract

Stunting is one of the nutritional problems in the world and Indonesia which is still a challenge today. This study aims to describe the implementation of the stunting program in Indonesia. The research method is systematic review with a meta-synthetic approach. Search through database google scholar, pubmed, DOAJ, and garuda portal. using the keywords Implementation, evaluation, stunting programs, nutrition interventions, stunting under five, stunting prevention, Indonesia, child nutrition disorders, stunted, growth disorders, nutrition interventions, with boolean operators (AND, OR). The literature inclusion criteria published 2010-2020, Indonesian region, aims to analyze the implementation of stunting programs, in Indonesian and English, full text, and qualitative studies. Assessment of study quality uses the Critical appraisal checklist from The Joanna Briggs Institute (JBI). The results of the study found as many as 13 research sample articles. Specific and sensitive intervention programs that are most commonly carried out are the provision of blood-added tablets for pregnant women, supplementary feeding for underweight toddlers, complementary foods for breastfeeding, vitamin A provision, provision of facilities and access to drinking water and proper sanitation. As for the obstacles, the most obstacles were found to be the lack of implementing human resources, lack of public awareness, and limited infrastructure. The stunting program that has been implemented in Indonesia has not yet fully run optimally, because the existing obstacles have not been resolved in the health sector or outside the health sector. Sufficient procurement of Human Resources for stunting program implementers, especially for nutritionists because they play an important role in the balanced nutrition program.
