Abstract

Saving Matrix is a method of minimizing distance, time or cost by considering the underlying obstacles. The purpose of this study is to implement the Saving Matrix method for optimizing the distribution of beverage product in CV. SKML of Baturaja city. Product distribution routes from warehouse to consumer store have been less than optimal as there are multiple vehicles distributing products whitout maximizing vehicle capacity. The data used was the storage distance from the consumer store and between the consumer store, demand numbers of individual consumer stores and vehicle capacity. Of the total preliminary route 51.1 kilometers the optimum route used the saving matrix method is 47.1 kilometers. The results obtained indicate that the route formed using the Saving Matrix method produces a more minimum distance and a more optimal route.
