Abstract

This study was conducted to analyze the effect of lateral deviation on the dilatation distance on the structure of Mapolda building in South Sumatra Province. This building has a T-shaped layout with a length of 65 meters and a width of 40 meters and consists of 8 floors with a height of 33 meters. The building is planned to use a special moment resisting frame system, using earthquake data according to the location of the structure, namely the city of Palembang. The structure is modeled into three types, namely the existing structure model (existing model), first alternative structure model (model 1), and the second alternative structural model (model 2). Dilation is done to reduce the magnitude of displacement and the effect of torque due to earthquake loads. In each model, the lateral deviation is checked in the dilated part so that the maximum lateral deviation is obtained. The analysis was carried out with the help of the SAP2000 program. After the analysis, it was found that the modeling of the existing structure has the largest lateral deviation of the other two models. Lateral deviation analysis was performed on model 1 and model 2 after dilatation. So that the maximum deviation of the two models can be obtained so that an effective dilation distance analysis can be carried out so that the two structures do not collide with each other.
