Abstract

UNICEF is an organization mandated by the United Nations General Assembly with a vision to create a world where children's rights will be fulfilled, making and ensuring every child can grow up healthy, protected from various kinds of dangers, and properly educated. In Indonesia, some children in several regions are now facing a double threat during the COVID-19 pandemic, it was found that violence against children increased during the pandemic. This research aims to determine the role of UNICEF in dealing with the issue of violence against children in Indonesia during the COVID-19 pandemic. The method used is descriptive qualitative method and the data sources used are primary data through interviews and secondary data obtained through books, journals, documents, articles, reports, and various other media. Based on the results of the research, UNICEF has played the role of implementers, catalysts and partnerships such as holding a Kindness Conference, COVID-19 Diaries Campaign, TePSA Program, and so on as an effort to deal with cases of violence that occurred in Indonesia during the COVID-19 pandemic.
