Abstract
Numerical Weather Prediction is a numerical method that is often used used to describe the state of the atmosphere. One of the software that implements NWP numerical method is Weather Research Forescasting (WRF). WRF expected can provide information about the weather conditions well and easily. WRF using input data in the orm o lobal ore ast ystem data ith a resolution o hour temporal and . . grid spatial resolution. This study uses 3 the study domain and taken domain 2 which represents the area of South Sumatra . Range The time used in this study starts from December 01 to 29 February. The observed parameters are predicted in this study in the form of precipitation values rainfall . As comparison data, TRMM satellite data is used to perform WRF performance test. In this study, two tests were carried out, namely statistical tests and test dichotomy. The output of this study is in the form of visualized rainfall values into the map using ArcGIS software. Based on the results of the study, predictions the rainfall value produced by WRF tends to be below the satellite rainfall value TRMM with high mean error and very low correlation. Meanwhile, based on the dichotomy test, the validity is well represented in December for all three indices (ACC, POD, FAR).
