Abstract

Construction of buildings in Indonesia has grown rapidly along with the increasing population. South Sumatra is one of the provinces in Indonesia that is actively carrying out development in every city and district. The results of the analysis of the quality of river sand before the river sand washing process based on SNI-S-04-1989-F:28, obtained the results of the test with a mud content of 8.06%, an organic content of 6 (very high), and a fine modulus of 2.89. The difference in density between river sand and mud, organic content, and fine modulus in river sand can be washed and produce ready-made river sand meets the standards for light concrete making raw materials. Based on many concentrates produced from the three variations of slope on the tool sluice box obtained the most concentrate results, namely at a slope of 2.38 ° (5 cm), riffle height 0.8 mm, and distance between riffles 10 cm. Analysis of river sand quality after washing process with sluice box tool that is a test of sludge content, organic content, and fine modulus of sand with fine aggregate inspection standard. Based on the results of the sludge test obtained from the three variables sluice box tool with a result of 0.96%. Based on the results of organic content test obtained from the three variables sluice box tool with color results number 4 -5 on the organic plate. Based on the results of the fine sand modulus test obtained from the three variables of the sluice box tool with a result of 2.07. Testing strong light brick press with foaming agent variations of 4.7 ml, 4.1 ml and 3.5 ml, obtained the results of strong light brick presses of 0.4 MPa, 0.5 MPa, and 0.96 MPa. Light brick weight test results based on foaming agent variations of 25 ml, 22 ml, and 19 ml with light brick type weight of 619 kg/m3, 637 kg/m3, and 666 kg/m3, respectively
