Abstract

This study aims to determined the perceptions of the Karang Waru village community on the quality of services to make birth certificates at the Population and Civil Registration Office (Disdukcapil) of Sekayu City, Musi Banyuasin Regency, this study used a quantitative approach with descriptive methods, sampling using purposive sampling and collection the data was carried out through documentation and questionnaires, based on the results of the study showing that the public's perception of the quality of service for making birth certificates at the Disdukcapil Office in Sekayu City, Musi Banyuasin Regency was positive, which obtained an average score of 65.10% ≥ 62.5%. The recapitulation was obtained from the average results, namely the first indicator of tangible 73.19%, both reliability 68.95%, third responsiviness 68.53%, fourth assurance 58.66%, and fifth empaty 56.18%, thus interesting researchers the conclusion that the perception of the community of Karang Waru village on the quality of service for making birth certificates in the Disdukcapil Office of Sekayu City, Musi Banyuasin Regency was positive with an average score of 65.10%, because the results of recapitulation obtained by researchers through data analysis at percentage intervals of ≤ 62.5%. Where it has been previously determined that the score> 62.5% has criteria for the level of positive perception and a score of <62.5% has the criteria for the level of negative perceptions.
