Abstract

The purpose of this study was to determine the relationship between motivation and procrastination pass USEPT in final students. This study hypothesizes that there is a relationship between motivation and procrastination. The population in this study is the final student who has not graduated from USEPT at University X. The sample in the study was 125 students. The sampling technique used is a purposive sampling technique. This study uses two scales as measuring instruments, namely the procrastination scale which refers to the procrastination aspect of Tuckman (1991) and the motivational scale based on the motivational characteristics of Petri (1990). The data analysis was conducted using pearson products moment correlation. The results of data analysis showed the values of r square = -0.497 and p = 0.000 (p<0.05). This shows that the hypothesis of this study is accepted, that is, there is a significant negative relationship between motivation and procrastination of pass USEPT in final students.
