Abstract

According to Sanjaya, the rapid population growth affects the need for water so that it affects the scarcity of water resources. One of the efforts to prevent the scarcity of water resources is by doing water conservation. The South Sumatra Babel Bank Building in Palembang City is one of the tallest office buildings in Palembang City. Therefore, the research was conducted alluding to water conservation and efficiency in the Bank Sumsel Babel building in Palembang City. Data were collected using interview and observation methods. The data obtained were analyzed for water conservation based on the GREENSHIP and GREENMARK standards. Based on the GREENSHIP standard, the results of the analysis carried out at the Sumsel Babel Bank building, Palembang City obtained 6 points out of 20 points maximum with a percentage of 30%, while 4.0 points out of 14.5 points maximum with a percentage of 27.56% for the GREENMARK standard. Therefore, the Sumsel Babel Bank building in Palembang City does not meet the water efficiency conservation category based on the GREENSHIP and GREENMARK standards.
