Abstract
Exploitation of street children is a form of discriminatory attitude carried out by someone for the benefit of the individual. The purpose of this study is to find out how the forms of exploitation, the reasons behind the exploitation and the consequences of exploitation experienced by street children selling tissue at the Charitas red light intersection, Palembang City, using Max Weber's concepts and theories. This study uses descriptive qualitative research methods, data collection is done by observation, interviews and documentation. The results of this study that there are forms of physical and social exploitation experienced in the form of pinches, slaps and kicks to the feet due to street children selling tissues cannot meet sales targets. Exploitation of street children selling tissue at the Charitas intersection is based on a low family economic situation, the environment and household disputes are the causes of children having to participate in work so that as they grow and develop on the streets, they will shape the social behavior of street children who tend to be closed, emotionally unresponsive. stable, drinking behavior, disrupted education and acts of intimidation from parents are often natural street children.
