Abstract

This study aims to determine whether the level of achievement of gross motor development of children aged (5-6) years during the COVID-19 pandemic in Srijaya Palembang Village is in accordance with the level of developmental achievement in Permendikbud No. 137 – 2014 National PAUD Standards and gross motor development theory. This study uses a quantitative descriptive research with a research sample of 40 children aged (5-6) years in Srijaya Palembang Village. Data collection techniques that researchers use are observation and documentation. The data analysis technique used quantitative descriptive analysis. The indicators in this study include: 1) combining walking, running and jumping movements with a percentage value of 71.87%, 2) zig-zag walking with a percentage value of 60%, 3) jumping as high as a minimum of 20 cm with a percentage value of 81 ,25%, 4) catch the ball with both hands with a percentage value of 80.62%, 5) stand on the other foot for 10 seconds with a percentage value of 79.37%. The overall results of the study show that the level of achievement of gross motor development of children aged (5-6) years during the COVID-19 pandemic in Srijaya Palembang Village is 74.62% or is in the category according to the level of developmental achievement in Permendikbud No.137-Year 2014 National PAUD Standards and gross motor development theory.
