Abstract

This study discusses "The Role of the Youth Community Cares for the Environment of Muaro Jambi in Developing Muaro Jambi Temple Tourism". The data used in this study were primary data and secondary data obtained through observation, interviews and documentation. The data obtained were analyzed using descriptive qualitative analysis methods. There are three types of informants in this study, namely key informants, main informants and supporting informants. The results of this study indicate that the role of the youth community who cares about the environment of Muaro Jambi in developing Muaro Jambi temple tourism is as a pioneer and also an extension of the government. In carrying out its role as a pioneer and an extension of the government, the community carried out several activities or work programs, namely river schools, cultural festivals, and also cleaning the Batanghari riverbanks and river flows in the Muaro Jambi temple area. developing Muaro Jambi temple tourism is divided into two, namely internal constraints and external constraints. Internal constraints are limited human resources (HR) and time, and external constraints are funding constraint.. Keywords: role, community, Muaro Jambi, tourism
