Abstract

This research aims to find out the influence of work stress and career development on job satisfaction. The purpose of this study is to find out the influence of work stress and career development on job satisfaction of relationship managers PT. Bank Rakyat Indonesia Branch Office Palembang Rivai. The hypotheses tested in the study were: work stress and career development positively affect job satisfaction. The sample used in this study was 128 respondents to employees of PT. Bank Rakyat Indonesia Branch Office Palembang Rivai. Data collection methods use questionnaires and data processing techniques using multiple linear regression analysis. The data used is obtained from the results of research on employees of PT. Bank Rakyat Indonesia Branch Office Palembang Rivai and analyzed using SPSS. Test results showed that, work stress has a significant positive effect on job satisfaction and career development has no significant effect on job satisfaction. This research is expected to be useful among others, for companies, especially in PT. Bank Rakyat Indonesia Branch Office Palembang Rivai as a consideration in decision making for the progress of the company, and for further researchers this research can be one of the references for research related to work stress and career development, as well as job satisfaction
