Abstract

The purpose of this research to determine the policy of the National Police in resolving criminal acts of minor theft through restorative justice (a case study of the legal area of the Indralaya sector police). This research uses a qualitative approach. The informants in this research amounted to seven people, three from the police and four from the community. Data collection techniques used are documentation and interviews. Data analysis techniques used are data reduction, data presentation, and conclusion. The validity test of the data used includes the credibility test, transferability test, dependability test, and confirmability test. Based on the results of data analysis that has been done before, it can be concluded that the policy carried out by the police in resolving criminal acts of minor theft through restorative justice is by conducting mediation. The steps to implementing this mediation are to bring together parties who are litigating, making compensation or compensation, and making a letter of peace.
