Abstract

This study aims to determine the perception of parents in stimulating fine motor development of children aged (3-4) years during the covid-19 pandemic in Sako Palembang Village. This research uses descriptive qualitative research with four research subjects. For data collection techniques, researchers used observation, interviews, and documentation. The data analysis used is Miles and Huberman's qualitative data analysis, including data collection from interviews, observations, and documentation, then reducing the data that has been obtained from the field, presenting the data in the form of a short narrative and drawing conclusions. The study used four research subjects, namely parents who have children aged (3-4) years in Sako Palembang Village. The results of the study can be concluded that the perception of parents in stimulating the fine motor development of children aged (3-4) years during the covid-19 pandemic there are two perceptions, namely positive perceptions and negative perceptions. First, the positive perception conveyed by parents that the provision of fine motor stimulation is very important to be given to children. This is because during the pandemic, parents spend a lot of time with their children so that the provision of fine motor stimulation can be easily given through several activities.. Second, the negative perception conveyed by parents that giving children fine motor stimulation is less important to do, this is because parents assume that children's fine motor development can develop by itself along with the child's growth process.
