Abstract
The purpose of this study was to determine the number of rotations of the disc and the moisture content of the material on the pin-mill grinding machine. This research was carried out from February to May 2021 at the home industry in Palembang and the Chemical Laboratory of Agricultural Products, Sriwijaya University. This study used the Factorial Randomized Block Design (FRBD) method with treatments and each treatment was repeated three times. The first factor was the water content of the material (6%, 8%, 10%). The second factor was the rotational speed of the disc (1400 rpm and 1500 rpm). Parameters measured were milling tool working capacity, milling efficiency, percentage of fineness and fuel consumption. The results showed that the moisture content of the material and the amount of rotational speed of the disc had a significant effect on the working capacity of the pin-mill type grinding machine.
