Abstract

SUMMARY FATICH KAMALUDDIN, The Effect of Vermicompost and TSP Fertilizer on Growth and Production of Red Onion (Allium ascalonicum L.) Bima Brebes Variety (Supervised by SUSILAWATI and FITRA GUSTIAR) This study aims to determine the effect of Vermicompost and P fertilizer on the growth and yield of shallots. This research was conducted off campus, located at km 14 Tanah Mas, Palembang City, South Sumatra. Implementation begins in February - April 2021. This study used a Factorial Randomized Block Design (CRBD) and observations using ANOVA and BNT. The seeds used are Bima Brebes Shallots. The treatment consisted of two factors, the first factor were the dose of Vermicompost fertilizer (V) which consisted of four levels, namely V₀ = control, V₁ = 500 g/Polybag, V₂ = 1 Kg/Polybag, V₃ = 1.5 Kg/Polybag. The second factor were the dose of TSP fertilizer (P) which consists of four levels, namely P₀ = control, P₁ = 2.11 g/Polybag, P₂ = 4.23 g/Polybag, P₃ = 6.35 g/Polybag. Parameters observed were plant height, number of leaves per clump, number of tillers per clump, number of tubers per plant, fresh weight of tuber per plant, tuber diameter, bulb dry weight, clove weight per bulb, leaf greenness level, vermicompost analysis and soil media . Based on research, giving Vermicompost 1 Kg/Polybag and TSP Fertilizer 4.23 g/Polybag gave the best results for Shallot.
