Abstract

Kinerja dan Strategi Pengembangan Koperasi BMT Trans Mekar Sari Mandiri Pada Masa Pandemi Covid-19 Di Desa Muliasari Kecamatan Tanjung Lago Kabupaten Banyuasin Performance Analysis and Development Strategy of BMT Trans Mekar Sari Mandiri Cooperation During Covid-19 Pandemic in Muliasari Village, Tanjung Lago Subdistrict, Banyuasin Regency Ahmad Hadyan Fadhil dan Sriati Program Studi Agribisnis, Fakultas Pertanian, Universitas Sriwijaya Jalan Palembang-Prabumulih Km.32, Indralaya Ogan Ilir 30662 Abstract The Covid-19 pandemic has had a negative impact on cooperative business activities, thus affecting the performance of the management and members. Cooperatives must carry out strategies to survive and develop in the midst of a pandemic. The aims of this study were: (1) to analyze the performance of the BMT Trans Mekar Sari Mandiri Cooperative during the Covid-19 Pandemic, (2) to identify the strengths, weaknesses, opportunities and threats of the BMT Trans Mekar Sari Mandiri Cooperative. during the Covid-19 Pandemic, (3) formulating a strategy for developing the BMT Trans Mekar Sari Mandiri Cooperative during the Covid-19 Pandemic. This research was conducted in Muliasari Village, Tanjung Lago District, Banyuasin Regency in July 2021. The method used in this study was a direct survey by taking a sample of 42 samples using a simple random method from the population representing the overall characteristic description and then interviewing based on a questionnaire. Primary data in the form of respondent identity, performance assessment of cooperative members, cooperative strategic factors during the Covid-19 pandemic. Secondary data were obtained from the BMT Trans Mekar Sari Cooperative, the Central Bureau of Statistics, and journals. The data processing method to answer the first objective was using scoring and explaining by tabulation and descriptive, and to answer the second and third objectives using SWOT analysis. The results of analysis performance of the BMT Trans Mekar Sari Mandiri cooperative during the Covid-19 pandemic were based on 5 indicators that were included in the high criteria with an average score of 35.19. The indicator for the aspect of business entity activity with an average of 7.55, the indicator of the aspect of business performance with an average of 7.00, the indicator of the aspect of cohesiveness and member participation with an average of 7.45, the service orientation indicator of members with an average of 6, 81, and indicators of aspects of service to the community with an average of 6.76. The results of the SWOT analysis on the SWOT diagram show that the development strategy of the Trans Mekar Sari Mandiri BMT Cooperative is in quadrant I, namely supporting an aggressive strategy. That's the SO (Strength-Opportunities) strategy.
