Abstract

ABSTRACT Background: Bronchial asthma is a disease of the respiratory tract that is commonly found in the community. Bronchial asthma if not treated immediately can cause fatal complications such as respiratory failure and death.. Purpose : This report aims to describe the nursing care provided and its management with a combination of Buteyko breathing techniques and asthma exercises to control and reduce asthma attacks or asthma symptoms. Method: The method of this scientific work report is a qualitative descriptive method with a case study approach by providing nursing care to families with bronchial asthma Results: The results of this case study indicate that the combination of the Buteyko breathing technique and asthma exercise given to the three members of the managed family can reduce the recurrence and symptoms of asthma experienced. Conclusion: The importance of handling families with asthma in overcoming the problem of nursing the family's inability to recognize asthma Keywords: bronchial asthma, Buteyko breathing technique, asthma exercise
