Abstract
Chicken farming is one of the most important sectors to meet human needs. Chicken farmers must have an effective way of maintaining it, especially in terms of feeding chickens that can be scheduled properly every day. Because the growth of chickens is very dependent on regular feeding. Currently, the technology used by chicken farmers for feeding chickens is still manual and very inefficient in terms of time and energy used. Therefore, tools and systems are needed that can provide automatic feed in real time using the RTC sensor, for feed weight using a load cell sensor and monitoring microcontroller-based feeding. The development of this system uses the internet of things (IoT) method with the ESP8266 module as an intermediary, then results are obtained for monitoring chicken feed that has been given according to a schedule via the web, which can be accessed using smartphone and desktop devices. The design of this tool is expected to be used for chicken farmers so as to reduce manual feeding and can be useful for farmers in a broad sense.
