Abstract

Background: Mental disorders are one of the priorities of global health. One of the nursing problems that can be found in mental disorders is violent behavior or the risk of violent behavior. The risk of violent behavior is a person's behavior that shows that the person can harm himself, others, the environment physically, emotionally, sexually, and verbally. As for one way that can be done to overcome the problem of risk of violent behavior is by doing spiritual ablution therapy. The ablution therapy in question is ablution therapy whose movements follow the ablution movements and are in accordance with the requirements of the pillars, sunnah and meet the therapeutic provisions. Objective: To find out about the effect of ablution therapy in mental nursing care for clients at risk of violent behavior. Method: The method used is a qualitative research with a case study approach. The case study subjects used were three patients with risk problems for violent behavior. Results: Based on the results of the assessment, the three patients showed sharp eyes, jaw clenched, face flushed, the patient said when he was angry he got angry, got angry, slammed things/furniture in the house, broke the door of the house, broke things, played with fire, destroyed the fence and cutting down trees. So that the authors establish a nursing diagnosis of risk of violent behavior. The way to overcome this problem is by identifying the causes, signs and symptoms, as a result of the risk of violent behavior, how to control anger by means of physical exercise, namely deep breathing exercises and hitting pillows or mattresses, taking medication regularly, verbally (asking for , refuse and express well) and spiritually (prayer and dhikr). Then another spiritual therapy that is carried out is ablution therapy, which is given for three meetings of approximately 10 minutes. The results of the implementation of the implementation strategy carried out and the provision of spiritual ablution therapy that is carried out, the patient is able to control anger, reduce anxiety, reduce tension on the face and body. The patient feels calm after ablution. The evaluation results obtained by the patient can control anger and reduce anxiety.
