Abstract

This study used a completely randomized design with 3 treatments and 4 replications. The treatment used was the hydroponic system treatment, P1 using the DFT hydroponic system (Deep Flow Technique), P2 using the Wick hydroponic system, and P3 using the Water Culture hydroponic system. Parameters observed included plant height, number of leaves, root length, leaf area, fresh weight, dry weight, net assimilation rate and relative growth rate. The treatment had a very significant effect on plant height, number of leaves, third week of root length, fourth week of root length, fifth week of root length, and sixth week of root length. And did not significantly affect the length of the first week of root, the second week of root length, net assimilation rate and relative growth rate. The use of the DFT (Deep Flow Technique) hydroponic system can provide the best growth and yields for red lettuce.
