Abstract

This objectives of this research were (1) Knowing the Differences in Farmers' Social Behavior before and during the Covid-19 Pandemic. (2) Knowing the Differences in Farmer Economic Behavior before and during the Covid-19 Pandemic. This research was conducted in November 2020. The location determination was made purposively based on the consideration that Sukajadi Urban Village. Determination of the sample farmers using the simple random sampling method where the population of vegetable farmers is homogeneous. The results of this study are (1) Farmers' social behavior, during the Covid-19 Pandemic, group meetings were not held and farmers' participation in the extension was said to be passive. The extension is changed to anjangsana activity, which means a planned visit by the extension worker to the farmer's house/business place. (2) The total average income of vegetable farmers before the Covid-19 Pandemic was Rp. 18,769,362. and during the Covid-19 Pandemic, it was Rp. 12,639,045 in units (Rp/Lg/MT). The decline in income occurred due to the increase in production costs and fluctuating farmer income. (3) the results of the t-count were 21,878 for income data and 9,326 for farmers' household consumption expenditure data. So, it can be said that t-count < 0.05 means Reject H0 which is stated that there is a Significant difference.
