Abstract

Android based ebook has been succesfully developed in the AC service system maintenance material ini the subject of light vehicle electricity maintenance (PKKR) in class XII of light vehicle engineering SMK YP Gajah Mada Palembang is valid, practicaal, and effective toward students learning outcomes and interests. The research methode used is developement research with teh development model of Alessi and Trollip, which consist of three stages, namely planning, design, and development. Data colecction techniques used interviews, walkctroughs, quistionares, observation, and test. The result of this study are declared valid because alpha tests have been carried out and beta tests for consistency were obtained with a mean value of 3.53 in a very practical category. At the trial stage the results of N-gain products obtained amounted to 0.58 including the medium category. In addition, the trial phase also examined the interest of learning by using a questionnaire that obtaine 3.15 with the good learning interest category of students. Based on the resylts of the study it can be conclude that an Android based ebook developed has proven to be valid, practical, and effective againts students learning outcomes and interests.
