Abstract

Abstract The purposes of this study are to: 1) Analyze the production costs of orchid farming. 2) Analyze the amount of revenue and net income received by orchid farmers in Palembang City. This research was conducted in Palembang City, South Sumatra Province. The location was chosen purposively with the consideration that Palembang City is one of the cities with the highest production of orchids in South Sumatra Province. The method used in this research is the survey method using a questionnaire as a data collection instrument. The sampling method used in this study is the census method, where all existing populations are taken according to the criteria. The entire population of farmer farmers who grow orchids in the city of Palembang is 12 orchid farmers. The data used in this research are secondary and primary data. The results of this study show that the production costs consist of fixed costs and variable costs is Rp1.320.049 per planting season. The revenue of orchid farmers in Palembang City per planting season is Rp. 2,934,708, with an average The income of orchid farmers in Palembang City is Rp. 1,614,660 per area of cultivation during the growing season.
