Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengidentifikasi miskonsepsi fase bulan pada materi IPBA di program studi pendidikan fisika Universitas Sriwijaya. Penelitian ini dilakukan pada 64 Mahasiswa calon guru fisika di Universitas Sriwijaya. Sebagai alat pengumpulan data digunakan instrument penelitian tes diagnostik LPCI (Lunar Phases Inventory Concept) berupa soal-soal pilihan ganda sebanyak 20 soal disertai alasan terbuka dan dilengkapi dengan CRI (Certainty of Response Index) dengan skala 0-5. Tes seperti ini juga disebut sebagai tes dengan tiga tingkatan (three tier test). Diperoleh bahwa skor rata-rata mahasiswa dari hasil tes tersebut cukup rendah yaitu 41,25%. Selain itu, diperoleh 36,17% mahasiswa mengalami miskonsepsi pada materi periode orbit bulan mengelilingi bumi, 32,11% mahasiswa tidak tahu konsep dan 31,72% mahasiswa memahami konsep. Pada penelitian ini juga di identifikasi bentuk miskonsepsi untuk 8 konsep yang ada pada instrument soal LPCI yaitu: (1) Periode orbit Bulan mengelilingi Bumi, (2) Periode siklus fase Bulan, (3) Arah orbit Bulan mengelilingi Bumi dilihat dari atas Kutub Utara, (4) Pergerakan Bulan, (5) Fase dan posisi Matahari-Bumi�Bulan, (6) Fase-keberadaan di langit- hubungan waktu pengamatan, (7) Penyebab fase Bulan, (8) Efek fase Bulan dengan keberadaannya di Bumi.
