Abstract

Diplomacy is one of the important instruments in the implementation of a country's national interest. Diplomacy as the main tool in achieving national interests related to other countries or international organizations. Through this diplomacy a country can build an image of itself. Therefore, the Indonesian government strives for the development of technology because in the past diplomacy was very traditional, which used to be very difficult to introduce Indonesian culture, therefore it is important to develop existing technology in Indonesia. This study will discuss how the Indonesian government in optimizing digital diplomacy in Indonesia with qualitative research types, with secondary data sources in the form of journals, articles, websites, books, news and official reports related to digital diplomacy. This study will examine the efforts made by Indonesia in achieving optimization in digital diplomacy with the concept of digital diplomacy by Tuch and diplomacy by Jack C. Plano. The result of this study is that digital diplomacy in Indonesia was previously traditional, now it has developed with the efforts of the Indonesian government in optimizing digital diplomacy such as social media, websites and platform applications.
