Abstract

The objectives of this research are: (1) Calculating the rice consumption levels and the amount of rice stored by the swamp land paddy farmer household with differences in land area in one planting season in Gelebak Dalam Village in Rambutan Subdistrict, Banyuasin, (2) Analyze rice consumption behavior and rice stock of swamp land farmer household with differences land area in Gelebak Dalam Village in Rambutan Subdistrict, Banyuasin, (3) Analyze the factors that influence rice consumption of swamp land farmer household in Gelebak Dalam Village in Rambutan Subdistrict, Banyuasin. This research was carried out in in Gelebak Dalam Village in Rambutan Subdistrict, Banyuasin. Processing and collecting data are conducted from February 2019 to April 2019. The research method used the survey method by took a sample of 40 farmers selected by disproportionate proportional random method with stratification from a population of 303 farmers. For processing data analyzed by tabulation then with mathematical calculations, using the scoring method, and analyzed using multiple regression analysis. The results of this research are the rice consumption level of swamp narrow land farmer household is 247 kg/kk/planting season and rice stock for one planting season is 716 kg. The rice consumption level of swamp vast land farmer household is 317 kg/kk/ planting season and rice stocks for one planting season is 1.866 kg. The behavior of rice consumption and rice stock of of swamp land farmer household with differences land area are swamp narrow land farmer household are in high criteria.The factors that significantly influence the rice consumption levels of swamp land farmer household are the composition of the sexes, the number of household members and education.
