Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh pemberian campuran pupuk tunggal NPK dan bokashi terhadap pertumbuhan dan serapan nitrogen jagung manis {Zea mays saccharata Sturt) saat primordia pada Ultisol dari Desa Tanjung Baru OKU. Penelitian ini telah dilaksanakan di Rumah Kaca Jurusan Tanah, Fakultas Pertanian, Universitas Sriwijaya, sedangkan analisis tanah dan tanaman dilakukan di Laboratorium Kimia, Biologi, dan Kesuburan Tanah Jurusan Tanah, Fakultas Pertanian, Universitas Sriwijaya serta pelaksanaan penelitiannya pada bulan Agustus sampai Desember 2003. Metode yang digunakan pada penelitian ini adalah Rancangan Acak Lengkap (RAL) Faktorial dengan dua faktor yaitu pupuk NPK (0, 0,5, 0,75, 1 x NPK anjuran) dan bokashi (0, 5, 10 ton ha'1). Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa pemberian bokashi memberikan pengaruh yang sangat nyata terhadap serapan N, tinggi dan bobot kering tanaman jagung manis sedangkan pupuk NPK tidak memberikan pengaruh. Pemberian bokashi dengan dosis 5 ton ha'1 memberikan hasil terbaik terhadap serapan N tanaman dan bobot kering tanaman.
