Abstract

This research is motivated by problems related to supervision. In the receipt of telecommunication tower retribution in 2018, telecommunication tower providers are still found to be inaccurate in paying retribution. Withdrawal of this levy is carried out by the Information Technology and Communication and Informatics of Palembang City. The purpose of this study is to find out how the supervision has been carried out by the head of the Communication and Information Office of Palembang City. The research method used in this study is a qualitative descriptive research method Data collection techniques including interviews and documentation analyzed by validity test using data triangulation. This research uses the theory of supervision according to George R. Terry, where there are four dimensions, namely Standard, Actual Implementation, Comparison of Standards with Results, Provision of Sanctions. From this study found several problems related to payments made by tower providers, there is a telecommunication tower provider that is late in paying tower fees. Based on the results of the study, it was concluded that the supervision of the head of the Ministry of Communication and Information Technology in the withdrawal of telecommunication tower levies by information technology and coding did not go well, because tower providers are still found not to be on time in paying retribution. Suggestions for the Head of the Communication and Information Office of Palembang City to improve supervision, give letters of reprimand, fines, and more stringent sanctions in the form of revocation of licenses if tower providers are still found who are repeatedly late in paying tower fees.
