Abstract

Structural beam and column of cold-formed steels are becoming popular and widely used. For two storey building, cold-formed steel can be used as an alternative material besides hot rolled steel and composite. This is because beam and column of cold-formed steel profile is more light and easy to assemble. Indonesia has not having code about cold-fonned steel. Structural buildings constructed using from cold-formed steel or hot rolled steel have so many problems in connections. The connections are calculated on designed differently. In real condition there are so many problems in structural connection. Therefore observation about cold-formed steel construction must be worked. Beam to Column Connection is one of the alternative is using GUSSETS to have strong connection for cold- formed steel. The connection can resist the bending moment and can reduce the difflection of the Beams.
