Abstract
Coronary heart disease is the second highest cause of death after stroke. This disease can attack the productive age group so that many families are forced to lose their source of income and are burdened with large medical and care costs and in the end the burden on the country's economy will also continue to increase. This study aims to analyze the relationship between risk factors for heart disease in productive age workers in Indonesia. This study uses secondary data from Riskesdas 2018. By using a cross-sectional study design with a sampling technique that uses a multi-stage technique. The research sample amounted to 409773 people. From 409773 workers of productive age, the prevalence of heart disease was 1.4%. The results showed that mental emotional disorders, obesity and central obesity, hypertension, lack of physical activity, age >40 years, smoking, risky food, gender, type of work were significantly associated with heart disease (p = <0.0001), on the other hand fruit and vegetable consumption (p = 0.710) did not show a significant relationship to heart disease in productive age workers in Indonesia. The dominant risk factor for heart disease in productive age workers in Indonesia that cannot be modified is age >40 years, while the dominant risk factor for heart disease that can be modified is mental emotional disorders.
