Abstract
This study aims to describe the eight analyzed poems contained in the collection of poems by Sanusi Pane's Madah Kelana by using Wilhelm Dilthey's hermeneutic study which includes the concept of triangles, namely erlebnis, ausdruck and verstehen, and to describe their implications in literary learning. This study used a qualitative descriptive method and analyzed using Dilthey's hermeneutic theory. The source of the data is taken from the book collection of poems Madah Kelana by Sanusi Pane (2011). The approach used is an objective approach. The results of this study indicate that in the eight poems analyzed there is the concept of Dilthey's hermeneutic triangle, namely: (1) the concept of erlebnis who stated that the background of the creation of these poems was strongly influenced by the experiences of Sanusi Pane as the author, especially during his trip to India in 1929-1930. (2) the concept of ausdruck has six figurative languages and this concept reveals that Sanusi Pane, who in his life was plagued by various miseries and sorrows, so that he did not stop looking for the place of happiness, and finally he succeeded in finding the happiness that was in his own heart. (3) the concept of verstehen is obtained by combining ausdruck and erlebnis . This research has implications for learning Indonesian in class X SMA/MA/SMK/MAK, which is contained in Basic Competence 3.17 analyzing the constituent element of poetry.
