Abstract

The Palembang City Government has planned the construction of a modern parking building in the trading area of Jl. Kolonel Atmo. The construction of a modern parking building can have both positive and negative impacts. Based on the impact, it is necessary to conduct research on the analysis of the selection of the location of the modern parking building on Jl. Kolonel Atmo was based on several assessment factors, such as the potential for land use, the potential for movement, the service level of the road in front of the building location, and the condition of pedestrian facilities around the planned parking building location. The method used in this research is the 1997 MKJI method to assess the road performance of the three plans for the construction of a modern parking building, the ITE method to assess the potential for movement and the multi-criteria analysis method to assess the parameters and indicators considered in assessing the condition of the parking building location plan. The results of the analysis of the selection of the location of the modern parking building with a multi-criteria analysis of the ranking method obtained the results for the 1st alternative location a score of 10.9, for the 2nd alternative location a score of 11.8 and for the 3rd alternative location a score of 13.3 was obtained. . Thus, the location that has the highest value for the location selection criteria is the 3rd alternative location. The results of the 3rd alternative location assessment show that the level of road service in front of the location has a vc ratio value of 0.405 with a C value at the road service level (LOS), the potential for movement of 501 cars per hour at a distance of 200 m before the location and a distance of 200 meters after the location, pedestrian accessibility with a travel time of 204 seconds, a total land use potential of 110 units, and a land area of 3647 square meters.
