Abstract

Pabrik pembuatan epiklorohidrin dengan kapasitas produksi 74.000 ton/tahun ini direncanakan berdiri pada tahun 2026 di Kota Cilegon, Provinsi Banten yang diperkirakan memiliki luas area sebesar 12 Ha. Bahan baku dari pembuatan epiklorohidrin ini adalah gliserol, hidrogen klorida, dan sodium hidroksida. Proses pembuatan epiklorohidrin ini mengacu pada US Patent No. 2016/9422256 B2 dengan proses hidroklorinasi gliserol dengan hidrogen klorida membentuk 1,3 diklorohidrin, dan proses dehidroklorinasi 1,3 diklorohidrin dengan sodium hidroksida membentuk produk epiklorohidrin. Reaktor pertama adalah continuous stirred tank reactor dan reaktor kedua adalah reactive distillation column. Reaktor pertama beroperasi pada temperatur 100oC dan tekanan 5,4 atm sedangkan reaktor kedua beroperasi pada temperatur top column 71oC dan tekanan 0,3 atm serta temperature bottom column 87oC dan tekanan 0,5 atm. Bentuk perusahaan yang akan digunakan pada pabrik ini adalah Perseroan Terbatas (PT) dengan sistem organisasi Line dan Staff, dipimpin oleh seorang Direktur dengan total karyawan 209 orang. Berdasarkan hasil analisa ekonomi, pabrik epiklorohidrin ini layak untuk didirikan karena telah memenuhi berbagai macam persyaratan parameter ekonomi.
