Abstract

Many factors influence maternal sectio caesarea failed in giving BREAST MILK exclusively, one of the mother complained of discomfort and pain after surgery and fatigue so that the mother takes more extra to recover before being able to cradling and nursing her baby. The aim of this research is to explore experience the success of mother with a history sectio caesarea in giving breast milk exclusively. Informants chosen by Purposive Sampling. Informants in this research amounted to 8 persons, with 4 key informant and 4 informant non key. The data collection is conducted by doing an in-depth interview. The data analysis using Collaizi technique. The results of the research are found 6 themes namely breast discharge response that is not perfect; The impact of not early initiation of breastfeeding (IMD); the impact of operations sectio caesarea; intrinsic motivation; social support; improving health and intelligence. Three participants said the barriers experienced in giving BREAST MILK exclusively due to the production of BREAST MILK that slightly due to not done early sucking initiation (IMD). Based on the results of the theme of health workers are expected to provide support and mentoring for mothers give BREAST MILK so there happen barriers in giving breast milk as well as facilitate the mother to Suckle initiating Early (IMD).
