Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh ekstrak buah nimba terhadap penyakit puru akar pada tanaman tomat dengan konsentrasi yang berbeda-beda.Penelitian dilaksanakan di Laboratorium Nematologi dan Rumah kacaFakultas Pertanian Universitas Sriwijaya Indralaya mulai bulan Oktober 2004 sampaidengan Januari 2005. Rancangan yang digunakan adalah Rancangan Acak Lengkapdengan 6 perlakuan dan 5 ulangan. Konsentrasi ekstrak buah nimba adalah A (0%),B (5%), C (10%), D (15%), E (20%), dan F (25%). Parameter yang diamati adalahpintensitas serangan, jumlah puru, jumlah masa telur, populasi nematoda, berat segarakar dan berat segar tajuk.Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa konsentrasi yang paling baik adalah konsentrasi 5 % ekstrak buah nimba yang dapat menekan intensitas serangan sebesar 35 % dan jumlah puru yang terbentuk sebesar 35,6 puru/tanaman, konsentrasi menunjukan hasil populasi nematoda terendah sebesar 300,6 ekor/100 g tanah.
