Abstract

This research was conducted to determine the effect of application of NPK fertilizer on the growth and yields of lettuce on a floating basis. This reseharch was done in ‘embung’ which is in Campus Area of University of Sriwijaya, Indralaya, Ogan Ilir, South Sumatera. That was done from June 2021 up to August 2021. The design was used in this reserch was Randomized Complitely Block Design (RCBD) with four treatments, each treatment was repeated three times and got 12 treatments units, each unit treatment contained of three plants, so there are 36 plants. P0 = Control, P1 = 1.12 g NPK/polybag, P2 = 2.25 g NPK/polybag, P3 = 4.5 g NPK/polybag. Parameters observed included plant height, number of leaves, plant fresh weight, plant dry weight, root length, leaf chlorophyll content and leaf area. Based on the results of the study showed that the recommended dose of NPK fertilizer had a significant effect number of leaves. The result of this search showed that the recomended dose of NPK result the highest of leaves there was 2,25 g/polybag.
