Abstract

Penelitian ini dilaksanakan dari bulan Juni 2006 sampai dengan Desember 2006 di Laboratorium Kimia, Biologi, dan Kesuburan Tanah Fakultas Pertanian Universitas Sriwijaya. Pengaruh pemanfaatan lahan dengan berbagai komoditas terhadap kandungan C, N, dan P serta komunitas mikroba dianalisis dengan sidik ragam menurut Rancangan Acak Lengkap (RAL), bentuk dan keeratan hubungan antara C, N, dan P tanah dengan komunitas mikroba dianalisis dengan korelasi dan regresi berganda. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa kandungan C organik, N total, dan P total secara nyata dipengaruhi oleh berbagai tipe pemanfaatan lahan, perbedaan lama penggunaan lahan untuk komoditas yang sama tidak menyebabkan perbedaan populasi mikroba, komunitas mikroba (bakteri, fungi, dan aktinomisetes) di berbagai pemanfaatan lahan berkorelasi nyata dengan kandungan C organik dan N total, tetapi tidak berkorelasi dengan P total tanah. Setelah dianalisis lanjut ternyata hanya N total yang berkorelasi erat dengan populasi bakteri dan fungi.
