Abstract
The purpose of this paper is to share the results of a researh about mapping and improving the quality of education in the level of Senior High School (SMA) after National Exam. The research was conducted at three locations namely Prabumulih City, District Ogan Ilir and Ogan Komering Ilir. The goals of the research are: (1) to know the topics that are not understood by students; (2) to find factors that caused the problems of students to solve the problems and (3) to design a model of implementation problem solving by involving main stakeholders such as LPTK, LPMP dan MGMP. In order to find these goals, a qualititative descriptive method was used for five months. Data were gathered using documentation, observation, depth interview and focus group discussion. Based on the school level, we chose eight SMA that is 3 SMA in Prabumulih, 2 SMA in OI dan 3 schools in OKI. Results of this research can be concluded: (1) competency map topics in each subjects that tested in SMA National Exam: (2) factor-factors that cause students are not able to solve tge problems; and (3) three models that can be implemented in order to strengthen the quality of education at the Senior High School level.
