Abstract

This study aims to describe the role of parents in accompanying children aged (3- 4) to play outdoor during the Covid-19 pandemic in Talang Bubuk Village, Plaju. This study uses a qualitative descriptive research with semi-structured interview data collection techniques and documentation. Then, the researcher reduces the data obtained from the field, presents the data in the form of a short narrative, and draws conclusions. This study uses research subjects, namely two parents who have children aged (3-4) years. The results of this study indicate that the role of parents in accompanying children aged (3-4) during the Covid-19 pandemic is as a guide when children play, facilitating children, creating a comfortable environment for children, and implementing clean and healthy living for children. In this study, the role of parents in outdoor play activities for children (3-4) years old was considered good. This is because these activities can run effectively, increase the level of creativity of children, and are able to make children socialize with the surrounding environment.
