Abstract

The purpose of this study was to determine learning styles of students in SMK N 1 Indralaya Utara. This research was a quantitative descriptive research with survey method. The population of this study were 177 students of grade X of SMK N 1 Indralaya Utara and the sample were 123 students, Selected with simple random sampling technique. Data were collected using a questionnaire which adapted from Barsch Learning Style Inventory. The results of this study show that 50 students (41%) had a visual learning style, 42 students (34%) had a audiotory learning style, and 12 students (10%) had a kinesthetic learning style. In spite of single learning style, some students also had a combined learning styles. There were I 4 students (11 %) had a visual-auditory learning styles, 3 students (2%) had a visual-kinesthetic learning styles, and 2 students (2%) had a kinesthetic-audiotory learning styles.
