Abstract

This research aims to know the process of Computer Mediated Communication Strategy (CMC) Coach with Athletes Of Artistic Gymnastics South Sumatra In TC Program ( TrainingCenter) Preparation of National Sports Week 2021 Amid the Covid-19 Outbreak. As well as supporting factors and inhibitions in the CMC Strategy process. This study uses the theoryof social information processingby Joseph Walther which has three dimensions namely (1)Verbal cues (verbal cues) and nonverbal (nonverbal cues),(2) Motivation, and (3) chronemic cues (chronemic cues)and accumulated messages. Using qualitative descriptive methods by conducting in-depth interviews, with all three informants, observations, and documentation studies. The results of this study showed Computer Mediated Communication Strategy (CMC) Coach with Athletes Of Artistic Gymnastics South Sumatra In TC Program (Training Center ) Preparation of National Sports Week 2021 Amid the Covid-19 Outbreak. In the development of tc program there are obstacles in communicating both mediated barriers from the network to from misunderstandings in synchronous communication that sometimes misunderstandings perceive facial expression and gestures from the coach. In an effort to build relationships coaches strive to conduct intense and open communication From the results of research obtained researchers suggest that facilities / needs and also better understand athletes in the TC program.
