Abstract

The purpose of this research was to know the ability of Phoma sp and Sterile Fungi isolates to suppress the development and growth of Rhizoctonia solani Kuhn caused damping-off disease in eggplant in seedling and to know the ability to increasing the plant growth. The data was analyzed as descriptif and described as tabulation. The observation height, and also increasing of seed fresh weight. The plant growth promotion fungi isolates in the research were 15 isolates of sterile fungi and 5 isolates of Phoma sp. The results showed that Phoma sp. and sterile fungi had a various ability for suppression damping-off. The average of percentage of disease severity and intensity in the seedling treated with sterile fungi isolates were 77,15%-91,43% respectively, while seedling with Phoma sp. were 82,85%-97,14%. The treatment of sterile fungi against eggplant could also increased seedling height and fresh weight into 83,93% and 197%. While on Phoma sp. treatment can reached the potential into 83,93% and 152%.
