Abstract

NABILA AZWADINA ROHADATUL AISYIH. Development Strategy of Jaya Bersama Village-Owned Enterprises (BUMDes) Jaya Bersama in the Context of Poverty Alleviation in Mekar Jaya Village, Keluang District, Musi Banyuasin Regency. (Supervised by YULIUS). BUMDes was established as a village institution that aims to manage the potential of the village in order to provide income for the village. BUMDes was established in accordance with the needs and potential of the village. Hydroponics is a form of BUMDes that operates a hydroponic vegetable business. This type of business is a form of innovation from modern agriculture by utilizing narrow land. This study aims to (1) describe the development of BUMDes Jaya Bersama in business and the economy, (2) describe the form of the BUMDes Jaya Bersama development plan in the context of alleviating poverty, (3) formulate a strategy for developing BUMDes Jaya Bersama in the context of poverty alleviation. Location selection is done pur posively or intentionally. Data collection was carried out from October to November 2021. The research method used in this study was the Survey Method. The sampling method used is a simple random sampling method with sampling of respondents such as BUMDes Jaya Bersama administrators, village officials, members of village unit cooperatives (KUD), family welfare empowerment administrators (PKK), people who take part in recitations and farmer groups. The data used in this study consisted of primary data and secondary data. The results of the study show that (1) The development of BUMDes Jaya Bersama in business and the economy has a role as a forum for creativity and business innovation, (2) The plan to develop BUMDes Jaya Bersama in the hydroponic business sector, (3) The IFE Matrix shows that BUMDes Jaya Bersama has been able to take advantage of strengths to overcome weaknesses with a total score of 2.879 and the EFE matrix shows that BUMDes Jaya Bersama has been able to take advantage of the strengths of opportunities to overcome Threatss with a total score of 3.163. The SWOT matrix for the quantitative approach shows that BUMDes Jaya Bersama is in quadrant 2, namely the ST (Strength-Threast) strategy. The strategy formulation on the SWOT diagram produces alternative strategies that are in accordance with the BUMDes situation, namely (1), Improve the performance of BUMDes managers so that they always get the trust and support of the local government, (2) Provide education and guidance to the community about the importance of BUMDes, (3) Add type of business in order to increase income.
