Abstract

Penelitian mengenai “Inventarisasi Arthropoda tanah di Kawasan Alami Mangrove Nipah (Nypa fruticans Wurmb) Kecamatan Pulau Rimau Kabupaten Banyuasin Provinsi Sumatera Selatan” telah dilakukan pada bulan Juli sampai Agustus 2009, pengambilan sampel dilakukan di Kecamatan Pulau Rimau dan diidentifikasi di Laboratorium Entomologi, bidang Zoologi LIPI Cibinong, Bogor. Penelitian ini dilakukan menggunakan metode transek dengan. 10 transek pada kawasan alami mangrove nipah. Sampling dilakukan dengan menggunakan perangkap jebakan (Pitfall trap), metode ekstraksi tanah dengan corong Barlese-Tullgren, dan koleksi langsung disepanjang transek penelitian. Hasil penelitian yaitu diperoleh 14 takson Arthropoda tanah yang terdiri dari 2 ordo, 8 famili, 3 subfamili, dan 1 spesies. Dapat disimpulkan bahwa kelas Insekta terdiri dari 11 takson Arthropoda tanah, Crustacea terdiri dari 2 takson, dan kelas Arachnida terdiri dari 1 takson. Kata Kunci: Inventarisasi, Arthropoda tanah, nipah (Nypafruticans Wurmb).
